h*ly fucking shit, you guys!!! i just thought: hey, i could blog again, and then checked my last entry and it's from SEPTEMBER??????? omg srsly O_ô i don't even know.. WOW.

anyways! let's just not talk about the fact that i'm a big loser and completely abandoned this blog (wait.. did i just call myself a loser for NOT doing something at my computer? haha! i'm a loser²!!!) and forget it ever happened, mmmkay?

so! may i just start here with a little explanation of WHY i haven't been that active lately when it comes to internetty things.
first of all, nothing. was. working. properly. srsly, dailybooth didn't send me any notification emails until a few days ago (because i'm teh haxx0rz and super pwned that website, so i got them all back now. yay yay!), twitter was laaaaggy and fail whaling more than usual, and youtube?! well, let's just say: if there is just one video i can watch without letting it loadloadload until the end.. that's a miracle. the last two vids i uploaded (in.. omg.. december. yikes!!!) took two and three attempts to even get them online. "BOO!", i say! i mean come onnnn, the hardest part about making teh vidios shouldn't be uploading them etc.
ANYWAY.
i feel a lot more "online" lately, so i'm sure i'll get back into the swing of things (now that db is my friend again and twitter stopped being a douche and youtube.. well, we'll see about that).

also, i know that in this video i mentioned that i was not making videos because of WoW (which has turned out to be the most lovely game ever invented) but that's not really true. but since things haven't been working anywhere really, my online priorities have just slightly changed to spending more time with WoW, where i used to spend my time with youtube. does that make sense? well maybe it's a bit of a language complication here, but hopefully you'll get what i mean.

so there.

if you want, i might blog about WoW soonish too. and other things as well. because let's face it: blogging is delicious and i should do it more often.

hey you lovely people, how's life?
i wanna tell you a little story today.

when i was 13, i was on vacation for two weeks without my parents. and the first time i called them was halfway through said vacation. (please consider that back then, eleven years ago, it was NOT normal to have a cell phone when you're 13 years old. just sayin'.)
they were incredibly pissed off at me for not calling them earlier to tell them i was fine and having fun because they were worried about me, but my mom said she was already assuming i was doing great because a friend had told her that "they never call if they're good and having a fantastic time. only if things aren't going too well, they let you know."
and that friend was right.

it's the same thing with this blog, really.
i've been having such a good time lately, meeting people, going places, experincing new things, spending time with my kitteh and the people i love, that there just hasn't been time really to write blog posts.
well, maybe time, but no motivation to do so.
so here i am, just to tell you that i definitely haven't abandoned this blog or any other online activities (even though i haven't been actively online as much lately) but i'm just enjoying life as it is right now and am happy and all that jazz ;)

geez the heat.. the heat drives me insane-o. it's cooling down a bit right now since it's been raining a lot today but i think tomorrow will just be as hot as the last few days.
not. interesting.
anyway!
the kitty is crying for my attention and i'm sleepy so let's make this a quick one.

i'm so terribly annoyed by anything youtube-y right now. nothing's working properly, the new channel layouts hurt my eyes and are also buggy as hell and hooray! they tend to crash my poor little firefox every now and then. such fun.
i dunno. i always think: the hardest part about making a video shouldn't be uploading and waiting for it to be live, but right now it is.
when i watch videos, it takes forfuckingever so i can watch them without having to pause every now and then and let it load, and it's just all so... ugh.
i dunno.
just UGH.
i've had big plans for new videos and (i think) pretty neat ideas, but it's all so... UGH right now.
i'm sorry. we'll get back to that soon i hope. seriously.
i don't like when i feel like youtube hates me.

like the new design? i'm so indecisive about it, i think i've changed it like 5 times in the past 12 hours or so (who says i have no life? fuck you! ^^) and i think it's just about getting used to something new (duh) but oh my, the old design had to go, it was so early 2008, y'know.
i've also added some sort of guestbook. well, as you can see the previous post here is the official guestbook now. and it's linked in the sidebar, so once it's off the first page here, it'll make more sense, i guess ;)
and how sneaky am i! guestbook for free and not with some lame lycos-website-from-1998-design on some random other website, but here! yay!

today, i am considering getting an iPhone. yah yah i know.
well, i have been considering getting one for a while now, have been checking the different rate options and so on. and now that my old cell phone contract is slowly running out, i think it might be time to check all that once again and make a decision.
(as you may be able to tell, i'm usually horrible with decisions. but hey, every once in a while even i am able to make one.)
sooooo that's my plan for the day. tomorrow, i'll take the cat to the vet, she needs a follow-up vaccination and OH how exciting, first time ever visit to the vet! at least for me, with her. she's been there before. anyway.
what other nonsense could i tell you about?
i'm going to see my dad again this weekend, hooray for a 8.5 hours train ride. one way. it's his birthday on the 11th, and we'll have a whole bunch of family members visiting and omg omg omg i have no idea what to get him. seriously. i never know. christmas, birthday, father's day.. it's all the same, i never know and probably end up getting him another cookbook.
(cookbook is a funny word btw. it amuses me. i'm apparently easy to amuse. oh well. i'm a simple mind.)

i'm on my way from berlin to munich via train. actually, my journey goes a bit more south than munich, so all together this is gonna take a little more than 8 hours. whoopie! the sky is grey and cloudy and so is my mood. such a long train ride isn't all that much fun to begin with, but it's even worse if you're not even looking forward to your destination.
i have to take care of a last few things in my old apartment, get rid of spare furniture and all that crap.
i. don't. want. to.
actually, right now i feel like switching trains at the next stop (leipzig) and just go back home.

there are two guys in my part of the train who discuss twitter and how useless and stupid it is. from what they're saying, i have a feeling they never even looked at the website, yet alone joined it to try it out or anything like that.
i love when people talk about stuff they obviously have absolutely no fucking clue about. LOVE it.
those two talking about twitter is just as stupid as two guys, talking about what it's like to be on your period.
y'know.

one more hour until i arrive in munich. it's so quiet in my part of the train right now, i think there are maybe 4 or 5 people here, including me. i even managed to record a little video and edit it here, fighting boredom and such, you know me.

i'm at my dad's. yes, believe it or not, i actually made it. i arrived at 11:30pm, got picked up at the station, went to my dad's, and since then have been trying to trick my "mobile internet" crap stick thing to get some reception. it works, occasionally.
in a bit i'll pick up a friend of mine and we'll go to munich (by car. thank the holy mariah!) and then try to trash the spare furniture i still have there at my old apartment.
and you know what? until the end of the upcoming week, i (hopefully) won't have to deal with anything regarding that apartment in munich again. fingers crossed.

that's it from me so far. i'll totally annoy you more through twitter, and maybe blogger. just because i'm gonna be THAT bored :)

another month.
i've abandoned this blog for another month. well, almost at least.
i feel guilty! i love this blog! i really do! i love it when you guys post me comments and all that. i love it!
and then i just forget to write things here. sighness.
oh well! let me update you then.
i've bought the sims 3. it's fantastic.
i haven't played it in a week or so. the reason for that is that i bought another most fabulous toy.
a graphic pen tablet, that came with such amazing software as adobe photoshop elements 6 and -even better- artrage2. there is a free version out there of the second program and i can only highly suggest you go and try it out because OMG hours of fun!
i also noticed that unlike drawing irl on real paper and whatnot, i'm actually pretty good at drawing on my computer.
this adds one more point to my theory about me not being made for a life outside of a computer. well, except maybe for cuddling. because that's pretty awesome irl and sucks via computer.
but!!!! point being: i love drawing with my computer. i love the new hardware i got, i love the new software, i love spending hours and hours drawing things and making cute little anime characters of the people i know.

hello dearest reader! i'm just assuming someone still reads this blog even though i've been abandoning it quite a lot lately. me so sowwy. really.
thing is, i'm so busy! ahhh! i haven't slept much and been packing my things for the big mooooove later this week (yes yes if you haven't heard, i'm moving to berlin and i am SO EXCITED ^___^) and just in general, there's been so much organizing and planning going on, i sometimes wonder my head is.
where's yo head aaaatt atatatatat.. shalalala. that's a nice song btw.
oh god, see what i mean?! this is how my brain functions nowadays. i say something, i think of something else, worst case scenario i even SAY something out loud then.. and so on and so forth. grrrraaahhhh.
anyway! i really just wanted to say hi, hello, i'm still alive and actually doing extremely fabulous, besides being busy and not having too much time for online things. which i MISS! no kidding. but!!! i shall get back to that soon. i hope our internet connection is gonna be set up soon and won't turn into another disaster of two months offline-time (because omg that sucked beyond suckage) aaaaand i'm pretty sure this time it's gonna work out a lot better. different isp, more expensive isp, basically the german mothership of isp's. yep. so.. i want some better service for my money!!

[dramatic] i feel like i've shoved my main channel into a hole and i don't know how to drag it out of it again. [/dramatic]

seriously, dearest blog reader, i need to do something with my main channel. and i don't mean another frikken learn german video. as much as i like being some sort of "teacher" for a few minutes (yes, as silly as it is, saying the words "my name is kiwi and i'm gonna be your host for today" somehow gets me into a mood that makes it fun to film these even though i hate that series. there. i said it.) this is just not what i wanted to do with my channel. ever.

it's ok to me if people think of me as "that german girl" but i feel like all anyone ever wants or expects from my main channel are these videos. and it's just no fun.

(and i know - you're gonna comment now, saying something like: "it's not true!! i like your other videos too!" because you're nice and if you made your way through the web to this blog and take the time to read it and even leave a comment i'm quite sure it's not just because of those silly language videos, but i know that the majority of my "audience" [weird term in my head. people have computers and they watch videos of other people with a webcam. no big deal. "audience". haha!!] subscribed to me because of those videos, and therefor expects more of them, and probably only wants to see those videos. i can't tell you how many times i get comments on my other videos that go something like this: "i like her learn german videos, but this was crap." of course in third person. because why talk to me directly. anyway!! see my point there? 90% of the youtube messages i get are about those videos. 90% of my comments are on those videos. you. get. my. point. here.)

and i'm aware that those videos are responsible for a lot of good things that happened to me through youtube and i'm thankful for that and like i said, i kinda enjoy making them sometimes, but it's still not the direction i ever wanted to take with my channel. i've signed up as a "director", category: "variety". and that's what i want. and that's what i need to get back to or otherwise i'm afraid i'll never post another video on my main channel again. and even though i like my other two channels as well, i've always loved my main channel, and right now i could care less about it.
alright, i don't even have the time to make videos right now (yes, not even "daily" vlogs, even though i'm sure i'll make a vlog on my secondary channel in the near future. simple and easy and blah) and the technical issues are a factor there too, it's just so not motivating, but yeah.. you get my point here :)

i'm gonna stop bitching and whining now and wish you a good day/night/morning/etc.

i must admit, the good old real life has taken over my internet interests lately. but fear not!!! i'm here now, all yours and stuff. even though busy times are ahead of me, i have to admit that i kinda sorta missed my online-life, so here i am, trying another attempt at getting back to that. we'll see how my time management will work together with that idea.

so i think it's about time i mention that i'll move soon. munich is a pretty city, but it's not for me. at least not living here. it's always gonna be my hometown. i was born here, i lived here for the first 6 years of my life, i went back here in 2006, got my first own apartment and all that. blah blah growing up etc.

but then i fell in love.

i fell in love with berlin, and that's exactly where i'm gonna go pretty soon. and maybe maybe maybe there are other things that make my decision to go there feel even better and make me be even more impatient about it all, but that, my dearest blog reader, is none of your freaking business :)

Those five days in Berlin were most excellent, and were over way too fast. Haiiiiiiiiiii my sexy blog reader, how are things in your part of the world?

Things in Kiwi-land are fabulous. I'm having so much fun with the PJ Club (yah yah I mentioned that in the previous post too), and especially the people on there, and also my daily vlog challenge that I set for myself on my beta-channel reminds me so much of why I even started posting videos on the internet.. it's fun. And it feels right.
As most of you probably know, I'm an editing whore. If there is something I can do for 40 hours straight, it's editing. Doesn't have to be fancy or complicated, but as long as I can work on a video in SOME way, I'm a happy Kiwi.

Also, the whole one vlog a day thing feels like documenting my life in some way, and I'm still interested in how that will go for me. Now the usual thoughts of "where will I be in a few weeks/months" have changed into "where will I record videos then?". That might be a weird concept for you if you don't vlog, but the ones that do will understand what I mean and why I have those thoughts.
Posting videos on the internet is a strange thing. You get to see yourself in a different light. You become your own observer, if you want to call it that. Through that, you get to learn a lot of new things about yourself. How having some sort of "audience" (even if that's still a strange thing for me to understand, that there's an actual audience that watches and participates through comments etc.) influences you. Because it's true, being on YouTube HAS changed me, I'm sure it changes everyone to a certain point, it's just a completely new situation, something that not many people get to experience. All the ups and downs that come along with it, creative blocks and outbursts as well as getting to know (and love) people on this e-level. You collect some sort of circle of friends that maybe even get to know you better than the ones you have irl. And yes, I do realize that that's a strange thing, but it's also an interesting and good thing, I'd say.
To make a long story short, I'm excited and happy about having resurrected my beta-channel and using it for daily vlogs now. I really wanna try to make a video a day there. It's good to keep me in a video making mood (as you also may have noticed, I've been slacking in that department a bit in the second half of 2008) and like I mentioned before, I. Love. Editing. It's really that simple.

Some people might say, whoever has the time to make one video a day has no life. That, my sexy reader, is completely untrue. I've been more busy irl in the past few weeks than I have been in the months before that, and still I find the time to make videos.
Why? Probably because I don't watch TV. If you think about it like that: the average time one spends everyday watching TV is about 4 hours (so I've read somewhere. Might be more or less and also vary from country to country of course). It's easy for me to shoot, edit and upload a video in less than 4 hours. While doing that, I still get to talk to people, I'm learning new things with every video really, and that's that!

Point being: I have fun with what I'm doing here, and I'm looking forward to do more! Also, the people I'm talking to online are the most creative and inspiring people I have ever met (yes, I say "met", not "e-met" or some crap like that) in my life, and I truely and deeply love you. You know who you are. CHEESY! Cheesy is good. Ha!

It's January 17 already?! How the.. what the.. WHEN??
Seriously, time flies by when you have things to do and plans and fun and blah, and wow, I seriously wanted to blog more. Oh well!

Soooo how are you doing my lovelies? I'm most fabulous, been working a lot, been learning tons of new things about editing and all that cool stuff we do here on the internet, been making music (yaha, kinda. Sorta. Well yes ok, I have.), been writing, been editing a little more.. and it's awesome to have so much planned, even if it sometimes seems to be a bit overwhelming and I have my problems to find a starting point for everything.
BUT it's all good, I enjoy and embrace it and honestly, when I'm home these days and NOT working on anything, I don't even know what to do with myself.
Goodbye times where I was just sitting in front of my laptop, watching random shows or movies. THIS is way better!

I've had an awesome e-birthday party over at a special bday channel, and once again I wanna say thanks to everyone who thought of me that day and wished me a happy birthday. It was so sweet to receive all those messages and comments!

Also, I've been re-thinking my beta-channel concept and after uploading my last vlog (which was actually two vlogs) to my main channel and the usual e-identity crisis that uploading vlogs always made me have [on one hand I love making and watching vlogs, on the other hand I hate them. Haha], it just seems like a good idea to post vlogs and little snippets of my life that I maybe wanna share on my secondary account. Even though I've felt like simple vlogs on my main channel don't make too much sense and don't belong there for a whole while now, that feelings has grown stronger in the past weeks or even months, and separating that more seems to be a good idea to me.

So! I'm uploading a vlog as we speak (or more like: as I'm writing this right now) and I have to edit some more so I'll keep this blog post short.
I'm excited about the PJ Club and it's fabulous to have a playground for yourself and your friends.

Omg it's a new year!!! *freaks out*

And so far, it's been fantastic. For some reason, an insanely awesome creativity burst happened in my life, and there are soooo many things I have planned, so many things I wanna do, and I don't even know where to start!! But it's most excellent, since the second half of 2008 has been rather dry for me, creativity-wise. I felt restless and like I wanted and needed to do and create things, but had no ideas, no motivation. It's the most frustrating feeling in the world, and I'm more than happy that it's gone now. So on to new things!!

And now let me share some things that made me smile:
This is a drawing that Jesse posted on my iminlikewithyou wall:(it's me, obviously, being on the phone while pwning in Blockles [true story]. Which is like the most awesome game in the world and apparently, I rawk at it [true story, the sequel].)

This I totally stole from Chris' blog:But because it was for me and inspired by something we were talking about (and no, forget it, I will not tell you the context. Have fun guessing though), and I love the little drawing and basically all the other little comic drawings he did on his blog (omg check it out NOW. I DEMAND IT!! GO!!!!) I wanted to post it here too.

Another thing I'd love to post here is a song that the wonderful Drake wrote and performed and recorded for me. That totally made my day (was it.. Tuesday? Yes I do believe it was. Omg yesterday!! My day/night rhythm and any perception of the terms "today"/"yesterday"/"tomorrow" have been severely screwed up due to an 8 hour marathon on iilwy a few days ago. Sleeping-patterns ftl!!) and it's beyond fabulous, but you'll just have to believe me when I say that because I don't know how I'd post it here, and also.. it's MINE!!!!! And I don't need to share everything with you.
Anyway, I'm totally working on a song for him now, but since I suck at making music it's probably gonna take me a little while, but IT WILL BE DONE FFS!!!!! Cuz.. y'know.. I want to and stuff ^_____^

As of January 2, 2009, the world is in order again. The Robot in my life has returned, and I'm a happy little Kiwi.
Yesterday, Billi also returned from his little family-holiday-vacation-related internet break and now we're all together again (insert cheesy music here) and my e-life is back to normal and beyond GOOD.

More bitching about YouTube. Today's topic: Copyright. Hooray! PLUS: Christmas. Woohoo! (longest post title ever.)

Ugh, I'm so annoyed. YouTube has been such a douchebag lately with copyright things, one of my favourite videos ever, the "Scarlett Sunday Blog" (at least that's what I called it) by billilovesmargot has been taken down yesterday due to copyright infringement.
A few weeks ago, one of my videos on my beta-channel has been removed due to copyright infringement as well. I can live with that, it wasn't a big deal really since it was only that channel and not a video I liked all that much, but it still sucked.
So today I open my gmail inbox, and find an e-mail there about a video on my beta-channel that I had already audio-swapped like a year ago.On December 19, YouTube posted a blog-entry about how Warner Music Group is no longer a part of their AudioSwap program, and how videos that contain Warner content will have to be swapped with different music in the near future.
Apparently, the song I was using on said video was Warner content, so the video got blocked/rejected now, and according to the e-mail, it should have been fine to just audio-swap it with a different song from their program.But when I went to My Videos and tried to go to AudioSwap, this is what happened:Every single time.

Now I didn't care much about the video I'm talking about here and I didn't wanna bother too much so I just took it down, it was old and quite lame in my opinion but the whole process is just highly annoying. I understand that YouTube has to do something about copyright infringement as soon as third parties are involved that claim copyright and all that stuff, but the fact that things just don't work as they should in such a case is just extremely dumb.

So much for that part.

Also, I realized I haven't blogged much this month, and now you get a super awesome long long long post to make up for it. Probably no one will even have the patience or time to read all this, but that's alright. Online diary ftw!!!1!11

It's Christmas, we Germans celebrate on the 24th, yes yes, and I have such torn feelings about this day.
See, I used to really like Christmas, and I still do partially. I enjoy the cheesiness about it, the sparkling lights everywhere, the decorations, the trees, receiving and especially making presents, or generally people in a giving mood. It's nice! Plus, it's winter, and it's my favourite season, so there you go.
Then again, Christmas eve has been rather depressing ever since my mom passed away in 2002, and now it's just me and my dad, having dinner together, exchanging a few presents, and then we both go our own ways again.
We've been invited by several family members over the past few years to spend Christmas eve with them, but apparently my dad is a huge fan of traditions now and for him that means we stay here at home, and even if that means it's a lame two person event. Oh well. It's just one evening a year, it could be worse.
Also, on the 25th and 26th my sisters come over with their spouses/kids/boyfriends, and a full house with people I actually like is always a good thing. So something to look forward to!

Just saying, I'm torn and I have my reasons.

Plus, as much as I do like the cheesiness about Christmas, there are also a lot of things that just plainly annoy me. All the "Donate here, donate there" crap around Christmas time is just way too much (now I'm not saying donating for a good cause is a bad thing, but if you're able to and feel like giving, then just do it and don't wait for a certain time of the year!), Christmas pop songs suck ass, everything is even more commercialized than usually, people who all of a sudden run to churches because they feel like it's being expected from them to go at least once a year are just dumb in my opinion, and the whole "ohhh let's be quiet and calm and in peace with everything and everyone" seems fake to me and unnecessary. It's not like all the problems in the world can go away for a friggin holiday just like that. I don't wanna play nice with people I just don't like for the sake of a simple day that isn't all that different to any other day of the year.

So as some sort of reaction to all this I tend to spend my Christmas usually listening to Death Metal or so-called Gangsta Rap, watch movies that contain a lot of gore (zombies prefered) and just in case I go out and meet people, I like to wear even more black eyeliner than usual and dress in a more.. well, let's say "unholy" way. If that makes sense.

I have no idea why I'm telling you all this, but I felt like it so why not.

I don't know what your plans are for the holidays, if you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah or something else, or if you don't even celebrate anything at all, but I hope you're doing fabulous, my dearest blog reader, and enjoy the last week of this year.
I am sooo looking forward to 2009 because exciting things will happen, it's gonna be a crazy year and I feel really good about it.

Unnecessary YouTube changes

Some of you might have heard about YouTube's most recent changes:
Customized thumbnails for partnered channels.
And that only a few days after releasing a blog post about how thumbnails are supposed to be more random now, so they actually represent the content of your video and cheating was supposed to be history.

Yeahhhh right.
I mean sure, it says you're supposed to be following the TOS when uploading a customized thumbnail, but still.. that's pretty much open for interpretation now, isn't it?

Alright so I don't wanna bore you with more rambling on about this, bottom line: It's dumb, and unnecessary and stupid and blah. The end.

Oh it's almost December, and how do we crazy Germans celebrate that? Of course, with christmas markets (in Bavaria better known as Christkindlmärkte).
Only purpose of those things: drink and eat as much as you can so you don't feel the cold air around you anymore. (Well ok, to be fair there are also little booths where you're supposed to buy christmas ornaments and stuff like that. But who does that really? I know I don't.)

Hey you, blog reader dearest, how's it going?
Man it's fucking FREEZING in Munich these days, and what have I been up to, you ask? Well, except for trying to not freeze and die, I've been getting back into my YouTube mode. YouTube mood. Something like that.
As you may have noticed, I haven't been all that active there in the past few months, and right now I feel like it's the perfect time to do exactly that. Make more videos, and not for you (sorry) but for myself. Because after all, that's what I've signed up for.

Facing the truth here, I'm a vlogger, and that's what vloggers do. I think. Sharing little pieces of their life with others, and basically, capturing experiences, thoughts, ideas, and whatnot. I used to be really good at that, and I feel like I'm getting there again.
I made three videos on Sunday and Monday (for the PJ club, my main channel, and my German channel) and especially the German one... I don't know why, but it's been a long, long time since I've made a video that I really liked and that I can honestly be proud of, and it felt really good doing that. It's a one take video, kinda-sorta-improv comedy like, or something, I dunno, but even I find it funny, and judging from the comments I've received so far, people really liked it, whether they understand German or not (well, it's a really simple concept, so I guess that's part of why people who don't understand German even get it). Bottom line: it made me happy to shoot and edit the video, or all three videos really, and it feels like I'm back on YouTube with all my heart (awwwwwww.... insert cheesy music here).

Can I just say one thing? I fucking LOVE online videos, and I highly respect each and everyone who makes them. I had this thought while driving to my dad the other day, and seriously, making videos and meeting (e-meeting and irl meeting) the people who share this interest or hobby or whatever you wanna call it, makes me happy and basically just feels like a really good thing. I'm not sure where I'm going with this now, but maybe you get what I mean.

Yes, the e-life makes me act like a huge hippie sometimes haha

Well in other news, I've recently started to work as a nanny. Twice a week, and I'm taking care of my nephew, which is probably the best thing ever since I'm getting paid for something I'd like to do anyway. But since my sister told me they were thinking about getting a "regular" nanny, I don't feel to bad about getting paid for doing this. I work for them twice a week, and next week little Titus (I'll try to show him to you guys sometime soon because omfg what a cute thing!!) is gonna start a Taekwondo (spelling?!?!?!) class and I'll be watching and awwww this should be a lot of fun.
He's five years old btw, a huge Star Wars fan and is currently trying to work on his Jedi-powers. The telekinesis part isn't working all that well yet, but wow he's awesome with light sabers!!

This was a HUGE update, dearest blog reader, and if you made it this far, I'm proud of you. I really am.
By the by, I'm having fun with my blogTV shows, it's probably the weirdest thing I've done on the web so far, but it's also a lot of fun and hanging out with you guys, even if it's just in a chat room, is a great experience.

I also have some thoughts on YouTube Live, but who really wants to read about that anymore now? Yeah, thought so, I don't either.
(I'm totally hoping YouTube will start having a live-broadcasting option soon though!! That'd be kinda awesome, I think.)

I've had a total of 10 hours of sleep since Friday. Why? Not sure. Thinking about stuff, yes, but I'm not actually that stressed out about it. At least I don't think. Doesn't really matter, point being:
I effing can't sleep anymore.
I've had 2 hours Friday-Saturday, 5 hours Saturday-Sunday, and 3 hours Sunday-today. And what amazes me is that I don't even look as zombie-like as one might think (incuding myself).
I'm currently at my dad's, going back to Munich tomorrow, so there won't be much time to sleep during the day (as I expect to not get all that much sleep tonight either. I'm not even tired or exhausted or anything really), then I'm gonna have a show at 3am my time, so you can imagine how sleeping will go then. Should be interesting! If all else fails, I'm just gonna do a show Magibon-style and sit there and stare into the camera. Or something.
Which reminds me, why is she not doing blogTV shows? Seriously, I'd watch. Just to see why and how and all that. Can you imagine that? A live show, let's say 60 minutes, of apathetically looking into the camera. Occasional smiling. Not too much though. Because we need to keep it classy. Right? Right.
I'm not sure where I'm going with this though, so let's just end this train of thought right here.

Other things:
As you can tell from the photo, I've painted my nails silver metallic. Which is fun and also really strange because they're so shiny and I notice them a lot more in my peripheral vision than I'd notice them with any other nail polish colour. Because, well, they're shiny and stuff!!!
So yeah. I manage to distract myself with my own freaking nails. Haha what an exciting life!!

Can you believe it's November already? Yeah, me either. Wow!! The year is almost over, there have been a lot of things happening lately (and for once I'm not talking about me me me me me, but about world-things, dearest reader. And I'm sure you all know what I mean by that. Just for the sake of not over-mentioning it after the past 24 hours I shall not speak of the soon-to-be new US president and.. oh. Guess I just did. Nevermind then. [For the record: I'm happy about how things turned out there.] Closing those brackets now.) and I'm sure there will be more before the year is over, but let's just focus on the important stuff here for a bit, k?
And yes, by important stuff I mean mainly myself. Ha. Ha. Didn't see that one coming, hm? Yeah, I thought so.

So!!! I'm sure you're all dying to know what I've been up to lately. Yes, that's what makes the world go 'round. Or something like that. (Sometimes I try to use little lines that seem to be fitting English expressions, and as soon as I've written them down I re-read them and think "what an idiot!!!!!!!!!!". I refuse to delete that though. It's more fun like that, I suppose. People that I chat with know what I'm talking about here.)
So!!! (Again.)
I've been trying to catch up on online things, have watched a shitload of videos (I totally reached the 17,000 this week, woop!! [I'm a loser. Obviously!!!]), have been reading up on all the things going on in my reader (and I want to apologize for being so comment-lazy on blogs lately, it's just all so much!! And I get all impatient and just browse around and then end up somewhere else and... yeah. You know what I'm trying to say here, yes?) and on top of that also started a scheduled show on blogTV. Yes. I know. It's weird to me as well, but I've been thinking about this for a while, and even though the thought of having an actual schedule for this freaks me out a tiny little bit, it just makes more sense to me like this. For everything else, there is still Stickam, and I like when people do shows on a schedule, so why should I be too chicken to have one myself? (I am extremely exaggerating here, but it's my blog, so why not.)
Point being, I thought if I actually did this blogTV thing, then I'd need something to keep me there. I've worded that weirdly, but what I mean is: if I don't have something that kind of forces me to do things, I might just forget about it in two days and do something else. Hence: schedule. (For your interest, said schedule would include shows Tuesday and Thursday, 9pm EST each. So far, I've done two shows, one last Saturday to test things out (meaning my camera and microphone. And my ability to actually do a show to be honest.), and that was to my own surprise a lot of fun! For some reason I've had a whole bunch of people in my room even though I didn't promote it really, got raided by lovely 4chan-folks, and all together it was just strange and odd and fun all at once.
The other show was yesterday, election night, and just as I expected, it was a much smaller group of people, but just like Saturday a strangely fun experience as well!
So the next show will be tomorrow at 9pm EST, and I swear I'll stop talking about this, like NOW, but it'd be cool if you'd maybe stop by, say hi, or something. Now you should know I'm not much of an entertainer. I don't see these live broadcasts as real shows, and more of an opportunity to talk to people, communicate basically. This is the e-world, right? And since the e-world is an incredibly large place, it's nice to have some corners where we can actually hang out together. And that's how I see these shows as well. So if you're up for a little chat... I know I am!

But enough of that now.

I'm still struggling with my internet connection (I've told you, things aren't over yet. I wonder how long it will take until I'll have the connection I'm actually paying for!!) but besides that, things are good!! I'm embracing autumn, sometimes it already smells like winter outside, and I can't wait to see the first snowflakes!!

And to end this on a rather mushy note:
I can honestly say that I'm really happy right now. I can't even put into words how thankful I am for some of the people that are a part of my life, and no matter how far away they might be, in a way they're very close to me (a physical distance has nothing to do with feelings if you ask me), and I wouldn't wanna miss knowing them for anything in the world <3

I shall update you more frequently in the near future, dearest blog, but for now I want to leave you, dearest reader, with rainbows, kittens, glitter, occasional confetti-showers and cupcakes all over the place.

[I refuse to call it fall. Because autumn sounds so much better.]
I went to my dad's today and to my surprise unlike in Munich, here it's the most beautiful autumn-like sunny weather everrrr.
And what do I do when I want to show you stuff? Rrrrrright, have a photoshoot.
(yeah and also I just wanted to show off how incredibly groovy my new hair looks like in the daylight and with the nature background and in combination with my scarf and all that. yay!!)

The first "scene" if you will is some sort of "tada!!! It's autumn!" setting. The happy look on my face goes extremely well with the elegant gesture. What I especially enjoy about this picture is that my hair looks like it's incredibly long, and my boobs seem to be nonexistent.

The second picture shows me and our dog Laika. How she loves photos!! Believe it or not, this was the best out of more than ten pictures that I tried to take with her. The sad look on her face is her trademark and especially efficient during dinner. OUR dinner, not hers.

Behind our house I found the setting for shot #3. This tree had just the most perfect yellow leaves of all time and seemed to be a great eye catcher for a photo. Unfortunately, next to that little tree is our trash, so the picture you can see here is the first AND last one out of that certain setting. Geez there were flies everywhere, it was disgusting.

I accidentally took this picture when I opened PhotoBooth again after I went to my room to write this here, and even though it's an accident, I really, really love this picture. The colours are fabulous, and it's not even edited!!! (None of the pictures in this post are, btw.)

So that's it for today!!! My internet still sucks. I still can't watch or upload videos or in fact do anything fun online, except of course more or less accidental cybering with my lovelies which is the only thing that really counts, but yes.. I'm still on a semi-break that will hopefully be over the upcoming weekend. We'll see!!!

A rant is in order, my friends. Once all of this is set up and settled and I can officially say I have a real internet connection again, I'll dedicate a video full of "love" to the company that will provide me with the bandwidth to upload said video. Isn't it ironic, don't you think?

Hi! How are you? I'm good, thanks!
I finally made a new video on my main channel. That was long overdue and I missed editing and filming and all that!
Also, I got featured on the German frontpage with the latest video I made on my kiwipedia channel (which is insane enough, but even more insane is the fact that I have three videos on that channel, and two of them have been featured on the German frontpage now. In. Sane.) and as much as I appreciate all this, it's a pretty weird thing. To me it still seems like people from Germany don't know much about YouTube, and about vlogging or just in general "normal" people who enjoy making videos and uploading them. To them it's clips from TV shows, or music videos. And as soon as someone has the guts to put themselves out there, it's a "fat emo bitch who has no life" [insert bad grammar and spelling here]. Or something like that, depending on whether you're a guy or a girl of course.
But yes. It's surreal, and fun at the same time. It also gives me the opportunity to screenshot something like this haha:

Sooooo I would officially announce that after a few weeks of not being into YouTube too much, I am officially back and stuff!! In general, I embrace the e-life with all its weird twists and turns and strange, strange people, and I shall twitter/vlog/blog/etc more often in the near future!! Currently, I'm in Maddox's blogTV show and I just won a Spice Girls picture challenge (the prize was chosing the next 90's pop song. I love it so! And yes, I was Baby Spice. Who else!!!)

Then Kristalyn Sporty Spiced it up, Jasmine did Baby Spice too, and JC went full out crazy and played Scary Spice for us. AND THAT'S WHY I LOVE BEING ONLINE. The end.

I haven't updated you, my little blog, in a while. And since today was fun and stuff, I thought this was about a good time to do that.
I'm currently at my dad's for a few days, things have happened, that's why I came here, but also it's my usual every-other-weekend-visit and this time it doesn't mean offline land for me!!! But that's another story and I shall share it with you soon (as well as all the other crap that I had to go through while changing my ISP. Not that that's over yet. Oh my. You have no idea.).

For now, let me tell you about my lovely day.

I met up with my friend Nina, we went shopping (at one of those really cheap ass stores and I bought two fabulous sweater thingies!)

I also finally bought hair dye (so on my weekend to-do-list), a silver nailpolish (yaha, those things exist. How trashy. I love it.) and a really tacky eyeshadow in "Petrol" (some turquoisy blue-ish colour).
Then we took a little roadtrip for about 40 minutes and accidentally even went to Austria. That was not planned, I took a wrong turn and woops, there we were. Oh the fun of living close to a border. We ended up at a McCafé (I don't know if you have those. It's like the McDonald's version of a Starbucks. But not really. But yes.), had huge coffees and a small cake, then went back to the hometown, had a little music exchange party, spent some quality time with Nina's dad which is always fun (one of my goals in life is to dance in a polonaise with him. Just because.) and then we bought burgers and went home. Separately.
Now I'm doing my laundry (yes, you needed to know) and she is out at a concert I think, and I blog about today and wish I had taken some photos of the whole thing. But I didn't. Oh well.

This blog post is so not coherent. And just because I feel like it, I want to leave you with a mixtape. Turn up your volume and dance!!!

As some of you know, I am currently switching my ISP. Meaning: my 24 month contract with my current ISP will no longer be after September 13, and even though I originally had an appointment set up for September 12 (which is today in my timezone) to get my new connection it seems like that's not gonna happen. At least not now.
I checked the status of my order, and so far from the 5 steps my new contract has to go through in order to get my new connection, only step #1 has been completed yet.
AWESOME. I know.
On their website it also says that from all 5 steps, each step takes a different amount of time, so the complete time span from ordering until getting the new connection set up and running may be up to 3-4 weeks.
FABULOUS. I know.
So tomorrow we will see when and how that's gonna be. Just going bye-bye at a non disclosed time is not something I'm exactly looking forward to, especially since I'm still job hunting (online) and -what's a lot worse- just generally talking to my lovelies online, the ones I met online as well as most of my irl people who don't live near me anymore. I'm frustrated and clueless about what I'm gonna do now, but I'll try to figure something out.
I'm hoping I can crash at either my sister's or my cousin's place and steal their connection for at least a bit each day, just so I'm not fully disconnected from everything and everyone.
PATHETIC. I know.
But this is bugging me to the extreme and I wish it would all be different and easier and faster and gaaah I'm rambling, I'm sorry, but I wanted to get this out of my system.
Would be nice to know how long offline-time we're talking here. But that seems to be random. So.. we'll see how this goes.
Let me just tell you I'm gonna miss you all, and I hope it will only be a few days.

Omg, hi! My dearest, sweetest, most loveliest blog of mine! Haven't seen you in a while. I hope you have been good?
Lots has happened in the past days, I shall share a few of those things now with you, my sexy reader.

So you may have probably seen my latest video. Yes, I mean the one with the flowers. And if you haven't, BURN IN HELL!!!! Or something like that. But let's just say you have, and you know what I'm referring to right now.
Me and this car of mine and its passed away windshield wipers (may they rest in pieces), we went to the police station last Friday. Filing a report for fun, and by fun I mean insurance paper work crap stuff.
I shall now semi-copy & paste a check list that has its origins in a skype conversation, just because it was awesome and fabulous and I hope the person that I steal this from will not hate me forever and wish for my soul to suffer from eternal hell fire (what's with me and "hell" today?? I wish I knew, honestly.).
Oh and also, it's probably the easiest and fastest way to demonstrate how that police business went.

1. Finding the police station: Check!
2. Meet an annoyingly mean cop: Check!
3. Meet another cop who turned out to be quite funny and nice: Check!
4. File report and answer horrible questions about status, job or academic title: Check!
5. Take awesome pictures of the damaged car: Check!
6. Drive home and piss someone off while accidentally cutting them off: Check!

And that was that.
What I absolutely loved about this experience was that the police dude I talked to spoke the strongest Bavarian accent ever. He could have been straight out of one of those Bavarian sitcoms that no one of you will know now, but oh well. Point being: it was funny and stuff.
The only thing that made me cringe a little inside was when he asked me if I had any enemies or any idea who could have been the fuckface who did this to my beautiful little baby (aka car) and it just felt so wrong to get asked that question when it's not in a black and white movie and the cop is not wearing a trenchcoat and is actually a private detective and smoking a big cigar and I was not one of those big breast ladies with huge waves in their hair and wearing a classic 50's dress and.. oh my, I get carried away here, but I'm sure you get the point.

So that was that. This time for real. Next point of this blog post that doesn't seem to end.

The next episode of Friday was my drive to my dad's. I tried to get there before the big raining happened, because you know: no windshield wipers + rain = epic fail.
Unfortunately though that plan didn't really work out all that well. It did start light-raining halfway through, I pulled over, stopped at a McDonald's/gas station type place thingie. RASTSTÄTTE is the correct word, but damnit I will not try to find an equivalent for that or the exact translation. Anyways!
I called my dad and cried for help, he told me to just try and drive on (so responsible!!) and that it wasn't raining at his place yet so if I could manage to be faster than the rain, it should all work out.
So I thought, fine, if father says it, I shall just try.
BIG FUCKING MISTAKE. Never listen to your parents, kids. They're all full of lies. Remember the story about Santa?? Yeah?? Well it's not getting better when you get older!!!!!!
So after like half a kilometer, the rain started again. Turned out I was not driving in front of the rain cloud, but actually just behind it. I couldn't see shit, so I pulled over once again, but only to some sort of side track thingie, whatever you may call them. Not an actual place where you're supposed to stop, but for emergency stops only. But fuck me, if that was NOT an emergency stop then I don't know what is!!
So there I was, sitting in my car, trying frantically to reach my dad again who of course did not pick up his phone (lies and hate, that's a parents' thing, I tell you!), I then finally reached my friend Nina who offered to pick me up at the next Autobahn-exit if I ever managed to get there somehow. And during this lovely 30-40 minutes waiting there, I actually saw five other cars who stopped at this emergency stop thingie to fix their wipers. That amused me a lot!
Let me get to the end of the story now (we're almost there, I promise!).
After a while it stopped raining again, and now I only had to wait for the road to get dry so it wasn't like there was rain from below. Know what I mean? Good.
And when I was almost confident about continuing my driving, another car stopped behind me, approximately two meters away. I started the engine and drove about 20 centimeters, and then the car behind me HIT ME!!!! I turned off the car, stepped out, wearing a huge screw face (I was so so so pissed off at that point, you have no idea), some greasy poser dude with way too much gel in his hair and a way too shiny bling-bling earring stepped out of the car that hit my car, I asked politely "WTF WAS THAT?????", he laughed and said: "I just wanted to shove you a bit!"
You. Cannot. Imagine. How. Fucking. Mad. I. Was.
Good thing: after inspecting every inch of my car's back, nothing had happened, and I just asked the gel-dude if he maybe knew how many meters/kilometers it was to the next Autobahn-exit. He said he had a map in the car and would take a look. So since I was already all soaking wet from this rain business earlier, I went back into my car, waiting for him to tell me the answer to my question, and what did that asshole do?? Drive past by me and away.
WOAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!! (Yes, spelled like that. Shut up.)
Seriously, wtf.
And now to the REAL end of the story:
The road was dry enough again so I could drive and finally managed to get to my dad's place before the REAL rain started.
What. A. Day.

Now I'm wondering if you've really read all of this. But that's what you get if I don't update this frequently and also have a freaking insane day like this!

I should maybe also mention that I watched The Dark Knight on Saturday. And I loved it. The camera work alone made me all tingly and all in all it was just a 10/10 movie. Not a big fan of the new Batmobile though, but oh well. Worse things have happened. [And omggggggg the whole huge scene in that bridge/tunnel thingie with the chase and all the cars and omgggggg that was awesome!!!!!!! And so many other things, but I won't spoil it for anyone, so I'll stop here.]

And.. I'm really done now. Longest blog post in the history of this blog, and if you made it to this point, I'm very proud of you. Very, very.

Ah so much has happened during the past few days!!! I don't even know where to start.
We had a little YT gathering here over the weekend, I think around 40 people showed up (total estimation, maybe it was way more or less, I can't estimate, I suck at that.)
Well anyways!! It was a fun weekend, I was happy to meet so many people again that I met last year in Berlin for 777, and also meeting a whole bunch of new folks. I have to admit that I did feel sad a lot because I couldn't go to Toronto, and I missed my lovelies, but all in all I had a good weekend here. And I shall now show you a few pictures from that! (Yes, I suck. Those aren't real gathering pictures but only pictures of me me me me me with a bunch of people. Oh well!! That's what you get. The end.)

So of course the day that I finally finally finally manage to make a new video (don't get too excited, it's super dumb, but it was fun to make) YT decides to go on a shitty maintenance break without any warning or whatever (I don't even wanna know what they gonna change now.. So here I made another one, a journey through my music taste, age 15-17. Should surprise one or two people. Have fun telling me how weirded out you all are, I so don't care!! I still love all this, and it made me have a whole bunch of awesome flashbacks while creating this mixtape. Ah, the struggle!

I feel like a broken record now, but once again I'm experiencing major vloggers' blockage, to quote the wonderful k80blog one more time.
In my last video I basically said nothing, even though I kind of managed to at least make something (I hope) mildly entertaining out of it. And I wanted my next video to be awesome and entertaining and with actual content and whatnot. Not a simple vlog, a real video. You know what I mean?
And then I had this feature, and everything went crazy, and I kind of wanna make a video even more, but nothing happens. I made a video for my German channel today, and thought that may give me enough inspiration to get back into the whole video mood for my main channel, but geez, it hasn't happened yet. I just feel uninspired, and it's oh so frustrating. It's not like I don't want to make a video. I made one a few days ago for my secondary channel, and like I already mentioned another one today for kiwipedia, but for my main channel? Hmpf, nope, nothing. I wish there was some sort of creativity/inspiration formula. That would make things a lot easier!
If anyone wants to share some secrets concerning that, please feel free to do so.

Everyone who has been on YouTube for more than 2 days knows that one of specialties of the website are countless bugs that used to mess with the PM inbox, video comments, and basically everything else that happens on the site.
Since the changing of the layout and the launch of the new video player (that I still find utterly fugly) there are even new ones to brighten up our days!!
Apparently my latest video didn't pop up in a whole bunch of subscription boxes, and I wonder how many videos I have missed during the past week or so.
And now this:Even though this is my current thumbnail for the video, when I go to "Edit Video info" or simply the "View all comments" section, those are the three possible thumbnails that come up:I don't get it!!!!!!!

But besides all that confusion, I'm happy how the video turned out. I was soooo frustrated yesterday when I really really really wanted to make a video and it just didn't happen, and then after I had already given up and went back to the usual chatting and listening to music and random browsing of teh netz, I had the idea for this video and even though filming it was pretty much a bitch (iSight is just not made for a lot of different angles) I'm pretty happy about the result. And because I like embedding my own stuff, here it is.

Oh, I also dyed my hair again. Going back to blonde. The red couldn't really keep me entertained. Just as a sidenote.

Some of you may already know that little website called BlogTV, that for a few weeks now has made it into the YouTube world and drawn some of us into its vicious circle..
For the ones that do not know the website, I shall describe it a little bit for your reading pleasure.

BlogTV is a website that closes the gap between our beloved Stickam and our dearest YouTube. It's like an interactive video / chatroom thingie, only that those videos / chatrooms are called "Shows", and that there isn't really a bigger concept behind it, other than almost complete freedom for the hosts to do whatever it is they want to do. (Of course there are restrictions, like nudity and whatnot, but who really cares, right?)
So you have one person who hosts the show, possibly a cohost (that works, too) and then a whole bunch of usernames, getting their freak on in the attached chatroom. I think that's about all there is to know about the basics of BlogTV.

And because I like to share more of my wisdom, here is something like a 5 part PSA about the dangers of said website. Enjoy. And then run away.

1. Don't go there if you ever wanna do something productive ever again (I used the word "ever" twice, to emphasize the importance of this statement). The temptation to switch from one show to the next is big, and staying in one room for hours and hours is even bigger.
2. You automatically become a pervert over at this website. I don't know why or how the transformation works, but trust me people, it does happen. A lot. And all of a sudden you find yourself in a room, pretty much publicly cybering with the host. You ask "What the hell?" - I can't give you an answer. I have no idea what happens there, but like I said: It just happens. Be prepared. Now you'll think: "But I'm not like that!! That would never happen to me!!" Oh trust me, it does. I'm not that much of a pervert normally, but BlogTV is a whole different reality, really.
3. Forget sleep, forget food, forget your normal everyday activities. You will not be able to do any of this if you get drawn into the BlogTV hell. Not that I don't enjoy it, but I'm sure drug addicts enjoy their daily dose as well. And we all know how healthy THAT is.
4. Be ready to lose braincells. Like in the world of drug addiction, BlogTV manages to take away some of your motor functions, such as being able to type correctly, as well as your general spelling or grammar skillz (assuming you ever had any) and makes you dream about weird things like chat windows and conversations that may have happened, although when you wake up, it's hard to decide if they did or if you only thought they did.
5. I hope the previous points have been convincing enough to make you not want to go to that website of doom, but just in case you decide to go nevertheless, don't feel too sad about getting kicked out of a room by one of the mods. Now I really can't think of people who would be that cruel and kick normal users or guests just for the fun of it.. but I've heard things like that happen every now and then.. although I'd never do such a thing. Really. Promise. Or something like that.

So I hope this blog post has taught you enough about BlogTV to make you realize it would be best to never ever ever ever go there. Or even sign up for it. DON'T DO IT!

But just in case you do, add me!! And don't say I didn't warn you.

I cannot believe how fucked up my sleeping pattern is right now.
I can't even tell you how much because it's a shame, really. I blame the heat (and maybe, but just maybe, a few people). It's just way too hot during the day to actually do something, so everything I have to do during the day I just delay until it's not that hot anymore.
And I want to make a video but .. it's just too frikken hot people!! TOO HOT I says.
So once again I'm on the internet, complaining about the weather. THE WEATHER. It's ridiculous. I seem to be obsessed with it. Maybe I am. Who knows?

When I woke up today, I noticed a slight increase of comments on the video from my German channel (like... 100, and counting). And although I kinda knew what had to be going on, I was still pretty surprised when I checked the German frontpage of YouTube and saw this:And oh so many people who demand to have 4:36 minutes of their life back.. I wouldn't even know where to start lmao
But besides that (and I really could care less about those comments) I got a bunch of comments from people saying that they really liked seeing more German vlogs on YouTube, and that really made me happy! As you know from the beginning I wasn't really sure about the whole vlogging in German thing, and it still feels kinda weird just because everything video related works in English in my head.
Those positive comments however honestly motivate me to make more videos on that channel and now I finally have something new to talk about there as well lol
The negative comments are ridiculous and I love them! For a few weeks now I've had the idea of collecting negative German comments and make a video like "How to be a good hater" or something, which would be an awesome collab and I think I wanna make it on the German channel.
So that should give me a lot more examples that should be useful for that.

Now let's see how long it will take for real life people to find me there ô___Ô

So today I officially became a YouTube partner. This is so weird! I have autoplay (which right now is fun, but I'm sure it will annoy me, and YOU, very very very soon lol), I can upload banners and have all those other options for my channel design.

But really cool at the same time. I just seriously need to change the way my channel looks. Besides that: picture me doing a happy dance, because that's what I feel like doing right now lol

As some of you know, the partner program wasn't open for Germany until now. I got an invitation in the mail yesterday, applied, got accepted, set up my AdSense account, connected my YouTube account with that AdSense thing, got the confirmation, and that was it. Basically.

My dearest reader, I am so full of ideas these days. Don't you love the feeling of "everything is possible" and "everything will be extremely awesome soon"?? Ok maybe it's just me, but I have those kinds of feelings every now and then, and even though I kind of haven't used any opportunities so far, and nothing has become extremely awesome (sounding emo much? Not meant to be) I still feel like that sometimes, and I honestly believe that it just brings me one step closer to figuring out this whole "life" thing everyone is talking about. And I'm not trying to sound like Joey Potter or anything, but srsly, isn't right now the time for me to do that? To figure it out? Take a path or maybe even two and follow them? Get ideas, try new things, believe in myself?
Well folks, I think it is. And so I have thought about the possibility of moving to Berlin. Why, you ask? Because it is cheap. Because it is a big city (not like Munich - the biggest village ever). And because it would also mean that I have to start becoming more independent. I always like to tell myself that I already am, but honestly, I'm not. [Also: come on, a city with a gay mayor sounds so much better than old conservative Munich. Srsly!!]
Now of course I'm absolutely not sure if this plan or idea will ever be implemented [that sounds weird, but my little online dictionary tells me that "to implement" is the right word here. Le sigh], but I thought by writing all this down, I have at least a reminder of some sort to follow and focus on.
Next step: finding a good reason why the hell I should move to the other side of the country. The family will not be pleased (oh how mafia of me muahuahua), but that's not my concern right now.

To end this post on a slighty lighter note, I have something that the fabulous Shelly likes to call an "instant snapshot", meaning a picture taken right after writing this blog (which I am sure will be fun for you because it's after 9am and I haven't slept and also I just washed my hair and what can I say? I'm just a big mess right now. In the most positive way of course!) and also a video of my current favorite song.

Oh and before I forget it: I am still not so sure about the whole vlogging in German thing.. I kinda tried it without recording anything, and it just felt so weiiiiiird. But oh well. I shall keep you posted. I mean after all it could be a fun (weiiiiiiird) experiment. Or something.

I've learned so much today.

I should never ever take two weeks between videos. Never. Ever. It's so difficult to get back in the mood.
According to a comment, I look like a big penis. Which is probably the funniest "hate" comment I received so far. Way to go IJustMadeYourDay!
I can spend hours trying to de-anagram letters.
Writing a resume isn't all that difficult. Writing a letter in German is. I actually needed a dictionary to translate some words from English to German. 13 months on YT and I'm not exactly fluent in my native language anymore. Awesome...

Oooh and for those of you who asked me about this: no, I was not mocking paperlilies' Zombie Jesus Art Contest with my last blog post. I don't even know why you would think that, but to make that clear: I was not. Honestly, I found all the drama and hype around the contest hilarious and entertaining, and I really don't think it was offensive to anyone at all. And the screenshot I took was just one of those "right time, right place" things, maybe more like "right e-time, right e-place", but anyways, it's even posted on her blog too, so I'm sure it's all good in da hood.

On a different note, don't you love Chris3ff's Naked Vlog Campaign? I do. And what I love even more is that so many people participate, which makes me feel less awkward about being one of the first people to join.

A Dangerous Nap

Some of you know that I went back to granny schedule. Now you might be wondering wth that even is.
I will tell you.
Going to bed before midnight, and waking up before 10am. The end.

And since today I woke up at 5am and couldn't sleep anymore after that, I already had lunch at 10am (talk about granny style) and since the effing maintenance on YouTube pretty much made everything on there a big pain in the ass (disabled comment & ratings on all videos, no access to your account etc.) and then my internet connection decided to be a big old fool as well, I just went to bed again for a long nice 3 hour power nap^^

If you think my YouTube dream was weird, this was even stranger:

I am in my appartment in Munich. The doorbell rings. I take a look through the peephole and only see boxes. I open the door, and there are no boxes anymore, but Tupac Shakur and Alfonso Ribeiro (better known as 2Pac and Carlton from Freshprince of Bel Air). They come into my appartment and try to rob me. We don't have a lot of stuff here that is of any value, so instead they decide to kidnap me (kidnapped my Tupac? Hot! Dunno what the deal with Alfonso is though). Of course I try to fight the best way I can, and then I somehow remember that in TV shows and movies it was never a bad idea to try and make the people who work together get angry at each other. So I say some stuff I can't remember that gives me a few minutes to hide into my room.
Then all of a sudden they have guns. While Alfonso tries to come into my room through the door, Tupac manages to climb out my roommate's window onto her balcony and jump or fly or whatever over to my balcony (in reality we don't have any balconies at our appartment) and he then tries to shoot me. Misses everytime. Until he's out of ammo, and instead of bullets his gun now "fires" water.

Then my alarm clock rang.

I'm a weird weird girl.

Me and BenRobot sit in a silver colored car. Driving down a street in a big city. Nobody's there, the sun is bright and blinding. We listen to music.

A whole bunch of YouTubers that I have contact to on a regular basis and me are being chased through smaller streets and backstreets. Not sure what we're running from, but I think it's zombies. Because zombies are the best.
We all have cameras and record our chase.
It's sunlight from above, but the streets are dark because of high buildings around them.

thewinekone is singing to me. I don't know what exactly, but it reminds me of parts from Deep & Profound.

I walk by a white board. Attached to it is a banana and a post-it underneath it that says "This banana is a prop. It may be used for video purposes only"

And that's all I can remember.
That's what a night of tubing and being on stickam does to me. Good times.

Soooo I'm back home since Tuesday, and let me just tell you: I was kinda too chicken to dye my hair black again. But I figured why not show you what I looked like back then, when black was myyyyy haircolor and I wouldn't have dreamed about going blonde:

I am still very much in love with twitter, the whole microblogging (as it's called) and chatting there is a lot of fun and I really enjoy it. Plus: the Mac makes it easy to get updates as they happen, so another point why I'm on team Apple. Shalalala!!

Final Cut is working really good, I learn something new everyday, I just have one problem I couldn't even find an answer to in online forums.. When I have a 9 minute video, there is just no way to save it in a filesize that is compatible with YouTube. The smallest one I managed to get without having a blurry blob as the screen was 250MB (even with saving the audio as Mono), and as you all know, that's still 150MB more than what YouTube accepts. Any ideas? What I'm doing with that now is save the file in a bigger size, import it to iMovie08 and then I can use the direct-to-YT-uploader. Which sucks, because I hate iMovie08, it's slow and never working as it should.. so any suggestions would be very appreciated!

For now that's it, huge ass update blog right here.

2. I will change my hair sometime this weekend. Still very unsure about HOW I'm gonna change it (although I have a bunch of ideas) but seriously now, the blonde has to go. I signed up on livevideo today, totally random, I know, and I kinda always refused to sign up on other video sharing sites (although that one time.. I got emails like crazy from this guy from metacafe who toootally wanted me to sign up and promote my videos there and whatnot, but I didn't.. it was just... too spammy sounding)
Point being: people are leaving YouTube like crazy. I'm not one of them, and I don't wanna leave, but I thought it wouldn't be too bad to have some sort of backup on livevideo too. Also... I'm a sucker for saving my name on websites. The end.

So I haven't been updating this blog thing that much in the past few days. My bad.
Yesterday was my roommate's birthday, and we celebrated at the appartment of one of her friends from school... who has the most adorable puppy ever!!!
Meet Johnny, the 4 months old Cairn Terrier puppy, who definitely just looks like he should be mine.

How come the most viewed list always contains the biggest crap ever???
As of right now, the first 16 most viewed videos are these:Soccer?? What's the point of watching soccer on YouTube?? *yawn*
(Not that I would watch it on TV either, but come on, what's the point? On a tiny little screen, after the game is already done?? Lame.)
